An innovation makes sense when it meets someone's needs, be it an organization, a company or consumers. Through design thinking, the teams switch their focus from the technology, to people. Design Thinking is the pillar of this process. It is an approach invented at the University of Stanford which is adopted to empathize with the stakeholders through on field research, and to design a solution concept which can truly satisfy people unmet needs.

Projects from last year

HYPER LEG

A leg prosthesis that can perform both passive and active tasks and that is lighter and more compact compared to other active knees on market.

NANOGLASS

Glass is widely used as a durable material in many applications, from skyscrapers to smartphone screens, however, it develops cracks through time. NANOGLASS  repairs glass cracks, regenerating an original surface, with no limitation in terms of surface adhesion and transparency.

REHAB V-R

Uses immersive virtual reality (VR) to turn motor rehabilitation of patients who experienced a stroke into a game.

SENSORIZED INSOLE

a stretchable sensorized insole able to collect and analyze the distribution of pressure over the foot. The analysis of the data allows to avoid mistakes that can lead to injuries, improves athletic performances, creating customized training to reach specific goals, and supports the athletes during recovery.

NOBLE TOUCH

luxurious skin-care cream with better performances compared to other competitors. It works with a special combination of gold, silver and cooper and provides better skin penetration, long-standing action , it’s intrinsically antimicrobial, it stimulates dermal fibroblast and allows the inhibition of oxidative stress.

MECHANOCHROMIC PRESSURE SENSORS

Mechanochromic pressure sensor for surgical operations:  it provides surgeons with a reliable tactile feedback to avoid tissue-damage during intervention. Currently, there are no solutions able to be aware about the force exerted during surgery.

APPLIED NANOTECHNOLOGIES

Nanotechnology to improve material performances (es more efficient battery) making them more durable and reliable and meet sustainable development goals.
